Growing up, I was pretty active and athletic. Somewhere shortly after graduation, my body exploded internally and it's been a constant battle within. This page I designed to help me rebuild myself from the inside out.
There will be a lot of posts I'm sure about my new weight loss journey, but there will also be lots of other fun stuff to chat about too. Projects, kids, pets, husbands. Well, husband. I only have the one ;) I may rant, I may get excited and I may be a spokesperson for my sisters AWESOME store, Funky Junk Boutique! See, there I go already. But it is such a cute store. She has funky used, reused, upcycled things done new and some totally wicked furniture! I'll tell you more about her and her shop later, I'm sure.
So, back to what I am recently doing. I need to loose a lot of weight. like most Americans I am overweight. I can tell you hundreds of excuses why I got this way, but it doesn't matter. I am what I am. So, I was so tired of having no energy, feeling like a loser, not being able to wear cute clothes and not feeling pretty. I signed up with my local Fitness Together and will be working with a personal trainer 3 days a week to loose 100 lbs. Quickly back to the cute clothes thing. Ok, Kohls! So why if someone is plus sized does that automatically mean we want to dress like we're 70? Fat people want to be cute too! Thats why we so sooo many big women shoved into cute clothes looking like stuffed sausages.
Ok, so, my stuffed sausage belly and me headed off to the gym to get all my measurements done and they tested my strength, flexibility, resistance and a few more things. After that I did 20 min on the elipticle my dear friend Cyndi calls Ellie. I lovingly call it Hellie. Ok, maybe not so lovingly. That's all I did to start. I officially start my workouts on Monday. I'm so excited I'm gonna go bedazzle my bucket I'm taking with me!
